Ipoh PC Fair 2008
Dec 8th, 2008 by Neo
I have been to a number of PC Fair events over the past few years, but what made this year’s a little different is I went to the PC Fair held in Ipoh. Not because I couldn’t wait for them to come to KL at the end of this week, but because coincidentally I was in Ipoh, so I just went there to give them my support.

In Ipoh, they chose to have it at the school hall of SJK(C) Yuk Choy. Certainly a completely new venue out of this world!
It was lucky for us because there was a big empty space adjacent to the school where you could park your car albeit certain parts of it was a little muddy. Volunteers were there to keep traffic in order. Parking was free, so no complaints here.

That’s the school hall. I reached there in the early afternoon but surprisingly the crowd was already huge… but nevertheless I still squeezed myself in through the entrance after some elbow fights with other people.
There was not a single big name to be seen, no Sony, Dell, Samsung, Lenovo, and etc. Here, I guess mostly were local computer and related accessories retailers, except one; Wal-Mart.

Do not be fooled by the name, this is of course not the infamous Wal-Mart in America!
It was a total disappointment because the hall was really crowded and I had a lot of difficulty to move around. Furthermore, since the big names were absent, there was no brand ambassadors (aka pretty girls) to shoot.

I believe Pikom should be able to do a much better job next time. Use a larger venue with better facilities. Get the big names to come and of course make sure there are pretty girls to shoot. Hahaha…
Anyway, I did buy something which I think is pretty cool, and it was sold at an unbelievable price. Let me show you what it’s at another time… rest assured it’s awesome!

Ya, they should find a bigger place to do the exibition. Was the aircond cold enough??
i was at ipoh too!! but i didnt visit the pc fair… aiseh, no chance to bump into u tim hehe… :p
Interesting. Guess they should look for bigger space next time. Maybe that will attract big name brands over to Ipoh.
Victor,
The aircon was far from cold enough. Most people were fanning themselves using leaflets… and of course I was sweating like a pig.
nic,
Haha, missed chance.
Che-Cheh,
Yes, the organizer should make it big since the response from the public was pretty good.
No pretty girls? That is a major disappointment, LOL…
I didn’t go for the PC fair this time. but well, this might be the one and only event that held at this place in the history lol.

Khengsiong,
You are absolutely right. The hall was hot like an oven as well. Pikom, next time don’t make the fair exhibitors suffer and visitors disappoint please!
ipohchai,
Next time, you recommend a nicer place to Pikom.
Horizon,
Imitated Wal-mart!
huei,
I think is pomelo? Yeah, I love the juicy ones! Hahahaha…
Jason,
Otherwise, you would not have came here, would you?
xin,
How can??? Must get hot girls to make the event hotter… even for small towns. You look at the number of visitors, they are overwhelming too!
I haven’t been to the PC Fair in Penang, I wonder if they have any hot girls there or not.
Jason, his domain name is misleading enough also what. LoL…
Wow! Plagiarise the name Wal Mart! Good one! What did you buy?
[...] I haven’t miss any PC Fairs which were held within the last few years. Last week I was in the PC Fair in Ipoh, where I bought a dirt cheap 5-in-1 wireless earphone. Yesterday I made a short appearance at the [...]
