Sunway Lagoon amusement park
Dec 23rd, 2008 by Neo
You may have been to Sunway Lagoon numerous times as it’s located in the Petaling jaya area which is more accessible than a lot other places, but not me. While I have been to Genting countless times (although it’s further), I have not been to Sunway Lagoon before last week. Perhaps I am staying too near to this amusement park, so I always thought that I would go there one day but that one day never arrive until last week!
So, off we went to Sunway Lagoon, and of course need to celebrate by taking some photos.

Wow, we reached in the late morning… for me I thought it was quite early already, but you look at the crowd. Saturday… perhaps everybody was tired working for the past week and thus all rushed here to have a good day’s out! No other place to go, like that.
Luckily some dude bought the tickets for us already, so no need to queue up… haha, life is good.

Scariest place on earth? Don’t play play… it doesn’t look that scary at all. But too bad, we got the 2P tickets, so we were not allowed in the Scream Park.
Anyway, we tried the dry park first before we went to the wet park and… get wet.

Our first stop was this locker area which was located inside a games arcade. The helper at the candies bar was kind enough to smile for my shot.
RM5 per opening on the locker, quite pricey; but we had no choice but to pay as we needed to offload some stuff there.

On the dry park, we first bounced into this kiddie ride. It looked like it’s designed for toddlers, so I didn’t want to hop on.

The Butch Cassidy Trail looked much better, but it still look a little lame. So, I just took some photos and gave it a miss. Off we went to the next ride.

We followed the trail and we reached the Grand Canyon River Rapids. Wow, the name surely is nice… but too bad, it will get myself wet and I have no place to store my photography equipments. I didn’t get to go on the wacky ride.

This is the wagon wheel, the wagons look like those you see in cowboy movies… I was positive I wanted to get on this wheel, but you look at its height. I didn’t think I could make it, so I had to reluctantly give it a miss.
Took a few photos of the wheel to share with you nevertheless.

I told myself, no matter what ride we came up to next, I would get on it… I was positive about this until I saw the mighty Tomahawk! It sure look scary and I was terrified by the sheer size and rapid swings of the huge arms! You guess did I get on it or not…
Too bad I didn’t bring my compact camera (which can record videos), otherwise you can see how loud some bastards scream on the top of their lungs as they were terrified by the tomahawk.
We then detoured to an exhibition hall and witnessed some crazy rocks which were called the Scholar rocks.

Next, we came across this cup ride. This certainly is a ride designed for kiddies… needless to say I didn’t get into the cup. Haha…
We were kind of tired and our legs were sore after all the walking, hiking, jumping, screaming, photo shooting and etc. Didn’t see any nice eateries around except this small outlet.

Took a short break at Tiger Cafe.
After some refreshing ice-cream cones, we went to the wet park! Stay tuned for more next! Don’t switch channel, OK.

Haha! Very funny! Some of the rides you did not want because they were too kiddy, others you did not get onto as they looked scary. Should try at least one or two rides since you are there! : )
Yes, when the place is near you, you think you can go there anytime, but will always end up not going : )
I tried those too during my team building events.
