I am sure the coming World Cup probably has 90% of the male population waiting with bated breath!

The remaining 10%?

… perhaps planning on how to move in on the hot girl being neglected by her football-obsessed partner. That, or trying to make time with the football-obsessed guy himself, if you catch my drift… *wink!*

Granted there are many female footie fans out there today and even female players, but the majority of the XX species will never understand the attraction of a black-and-white ball being kicked around.

However, maybe the guys can try the following to involve their girlfriends:

1) Use football terms in bed such as:

Centre spot – a small circular mark inside the centre circle that denotes the centre of the field where kickoffs are taken e.g. “I’m gonna start from the centre spot and go all the way to the goal line”

Hat trick – when three or more goals are scored in a game by a single player e.g. “Nothing less than a hat trick tonight, baby”

In play – when the ball is within the boundaries of the field and play has not been stopped e.g. “We have ten minutes before your parents are due, we’re still in play, baby…”

Just make sure you explain the terms and use your sexy voice.

2) The right outfit. You know how girls are obsessed with wearing the RIGHT outfit? Well then, maybe get her a referee’s costume?

Or if she’s more hands-on, then her own jersey?

Start with 1 and move to 2 or combine both if you can see her warming up to football.

3) Get her World Cup-inspired cupcakes

Cupcakes are cute and pretty much work in any situation where grovelling is required. Look at these beauties! Make sure she’s not on some diet though.

If all else fails, then promise to make it up to her after World Cup is over! Of course by then, make sure that you have made bookings at posh restaurants, stock up on flowers and if you have not been made bankrupt by World Cup bettings, a jewellery or two will certainly help your case.
