Singles-to-Mingle at First World Hotel, Genting Highlands
Mar 27th, 2011 by ll
This event by Resorts World Genting was an interesting finale to our day out at Genting Highlands. Following a day of fun & games, now is the time for the main event: Singles to Mingle, which is a Valentines Day event organized by Genting to promote romance in their beautiful theme park and resort.
The event was held at The Patio in First World Hotel. Singles to Mingle is a matchmaking and fun event for singles organized by Resorts World Genting towards Valentines Day. Guys and Girls are matched and sent on a free date in Genting Highlands, with lots of freebies and prizes for the winning couple. Here’s a shot of some of the lovely finalist contestants.
The RW Genting PR team that did such a great job to organize the day’s event….
A wonderful candlelight dinner awaits the lucky couples.
The guys and girls were really friendly. Here are some of the sweethearts who were more than happy to pose for us
Chai Fung, Hetty, Sin Ching and Li Ping – thanks for being such a good sport!
Here’s one of the contestants, Georgia (with glasses), posing with blogger Allison.
Couples seated and ready to enjoy the delicious buffet dinner. There were 10 finalist couples in all.
This was the blogger section towards the rear of The Patio.
Some fun and laughter with Genting PR Exec Amelia jazzing up the party.
Bloggers Suresh, Joshua and Dylan striking up a pose.
The Philippine live band entertaining the crowed with romantic oldies such as…. Endless Love (no prizes for guessing).
The Wine & Whisky Bar is located upstairs. I’m not a liquor expert, but it does look like an impressive collection of booz.
More alcohol…. the Tiger Bar is also upstairs from The Patio.
What a tiring but fun day it turned out to be. Thanks to Resorts World Genting for organizing this. And last but not least the goodies inside the paper bag… a complimentary book titled Lim Goh Tong – My Story.

I think it took me less than 3 days to finish this interesting book, which is a record for me. Truly an remarkable story of humility, courage and perseverance… how one man’s vision and tenacity has changed the faced of Malaysia’s tourism industry. I’m sure we can all learn something from Tan Sri Lim Goh Tong’s biography.
