Sipadan Water Village Resort

Thinking of beautiful clear waters for a perfect diving experience? Maybe you just want to get out of the hustle and bustle of town life and spend some quality time enjoying the beautiful wonder that is the ocean.
Either way, the wondrous Sipadan Water Village, located on the island of Mabul (some 45 minutes off the coastal town of Semporna in the East Coast of Sabah) should be your travel destination.
All of the accommodation here is built on top of stilts, right above the crystal-clear waters of the island. There are 45 chalets, 22 of which are stand alone one room chalets and 23 semi-detached two room chalets. There is also 1 exclusive chalet suit in the resort.
For those who like diving, the Sipadan Water Village is the perfect place for you, as there is an abundance of sea life that you can see off the coast of Mabul Island, as the island is arguably one of the riches single destinations for exotic small marine life in the world.
Not only that, but the dive packages offered also include diving at Sipadan Island, although diving in Sipadan has been limited due to government restrictions. Each diver can only be allowed a maximum of 2 dives per day and all divers will be diving there on a rotation.
Of course, if you want to dive without restrictions, you can do unlimited beach diving, that includes night diving. Equipment, such as tanks, weights and weight belts are provided, but all other equipment must either be brought by the diver or can be rented from the resort.
Room rates for non-diving packages start at around US$500+ up to US$1100+, and for the diving packages, from US$600+ up to almost US$1500.
