Japan Super GT race cars

We were still at the Japan Super GT event at Sepang F1 Circuit because there were so many things to see. Other than the hot and spicy race queens, there were brand ambassadors such as Joey and Bobo from Motor Trader, and of course not to forget the high-horse-powered race cars! Let’s take a break from the race queens, and check out the race cars now.

Nissan race car

That’s the Nissan race car parked at the main entrance mall area. That became one of the main attractions where everyone wanted to take a photo to show off to those who couldn’t make it. This picture was taken on Saturday… you can see there weren’t many people because it was still early and in fact there wasn’t a lot of people. But on Sunday, the place was jam packed!

It was such a wonderful Sunday, not only I tanned myself under the scorching hot sun, I got to meet the legendary Super GT Race Queens 2008 Kotomi Kurosawa and Ayami Sasaki. The crowd, especially the photographers were obviously very early and flocked the mobile stage. Luckily I came prepared this time and I was one of the earliest birds, waiting under the scorching sun with nothing but a towel covering my head. :)

Amie and Tomie

We waited for no less than 45 minutes because somehow the performance was delayed slightly. However, there wasn’t a single word of complaint as the performance from Kotomi Kurosawa and Ayami Sasaki, who are more widely known as Tomie and Amie (or Tomi and Ami?) was really awesome!

I have hinted many times before this that I will show you some nice stuff from renowned Malaysian photographer, Ted Adnan. I would very much like to show you Ted Adnan now, but due to the red hot heat generated from the Sepang race track and of course from the smoking hot race queens, I have no choice but to postpone Ted Adnan, and let you meet the race queens!

But before that let’s first meet Joey Chieng and Bobo, who are the ambassadors from Motor Trader magazine.

Joey Chieng

These two young girls were absolutely sporty and creative in posing for photographs. Look how cute both of them were, Bobo on the left, and Joey Chieng on the right. If you looked closer, you can see that Bobo actually was wearing blue color contact lens. That turned me on! Remember, I showed you how to change people’s eye color?

Photo Week at Maju Junction

Last week I had such a good weekend because I totally enjoyed myself with lots of shutter clicks! I lost count of how many photos I took but a rough estimate would be in the hundreds and this I believe was normal because the other photographers who joined the Photo Week was seen clicking non stop too! In fact they were much more hungry then me, firing non stop like a machine gun!

Closeup portrait

I was a little late as Maju Junction isn’t my normal territory, so I made a couple of wrong turns before I finally got there. The fashion and model show had already started. What to do, I had to squeeze in and shot between heads. There were heads everywhere.

ISO 100, F11 and Shutter 125

Let me show you some photos which are taken by myself today. Yes, today so the photos are fresh from the oven… or rather my DSLR.

Hope you will like the photos.

Portrait photos

To provide enough light to illuminate the two beautiful and sweet models, two flash lights were used. In a setup like this, the professionals always recommend a shutter speed of 1/125 seconds, F11 aperture and ISO 100. Why these numbers you might ask? Well, don’t ask me as I have no idea. I guess the professional photographers have tested and found that these numbers produce the best result.

Of course I followed and indeed the result is pretty satisfactory.
