I am not sure if you have seen a light box before. But I stumbled light boxes among some other gadgets during the recent Kuala Lumpur Photography Festival.
Light boxes are especially useful for product photography. The object of product photography is to show details of an object clearly. Lighting an object well brings out the details and provides good highlights. One method for uniformly lighting small objects is to put the object in a light box.

That’s how a light box looks like. It basically consist of a container with several lightbulbs. The interior reflectors are usually white, although silver or gold also available basically to alter the temperature of the light.

Oh yes, I went to Kuala Lumpur Photography Festival, undoubtedly one of the hottest photography and imaging event of the year. This event was scheduled for two days, last Saturday and Sunday but I only managed to go on the second day, and that was only in the late afternoon.

This time it took place at Berjaya Times Square. Weird, because in my opinion this place is not very happening. They should do it at One Utama, Mid Valley Convention Center, or KLCC (Kuala Lumpur Convention Center). At least, got more chicks.
Anyway, I arrived late, and the place was packed with photography enthusiasts, and people looking for photography gear and accessories bargains.

So, what should we have for dinner in Malacca? Immediately, we thought of chicken rice, but of course not any ordinary chicken rice, but it has to be Chicken Rice Ball! People say you have to try this cuisine if you were in this historical town in Malaysia, otherwise you have not really “tasted” Malacca.
This particular branch is located in Jonker Street, and it’s a perfect place for us to stop for dinner after an afternoon’s tiring walk.

Please don’t ask me if Famosa Chicken Rice Sdn Bhd serves the best Chicken Rice Ball in town or not because I am not from Malacca, and this was the first time I had this dish, or perhaps second time, I can’t really remember. However, from the look of it, this place must be pretty famous, there are pictures of famous people dining here.

So, after For A Famosa where do you think we went to? Naturally, we went to have a walk at the infamous Jonker Walk. I believe many of you who have been to Malacca have been here, or at least read or heard about it before. Thus, no further introduction is needed and let me just share some random photos with you.

This is the typical view early in the afternoon, a narrow street located in the heart of Malacca Chinatown. Not too overly busy with people in fact, but it looks good for a leisure walk.

Port Dickson is a really boring place if you didn’t like the beach but now the problem was that the beach was dirty… or well-polluted as some people call it. However, one of our tour member suddenly came up with a brilliant suggestion. Do you know what did he suggest? — Why don’t we drive to Malacca as I miss the nice food at Jonker Street?!!

We went to Pasaraya The Store to get some necessities for the night
I nearly fainted hearing that because it would mean another hour’s drive! We just arrived Port Dickson lar wei!
Hahaha… although we were tired but guess what, early next morning we did ventured into Malacca instead of going to watch sunrise! Now let me ask you, can we get sunrise in Port Dickson?
